Employer/Title:    BB&T Bank, AVP Retail

When/Why you became a Rotarian:    October 2010 – I began working for BB&T in the Ashburn area and I wanted to find ways to participate in the community. My Father, James, was a founding member of the volunteer fire department in Manassas , VA and an Auxiliary member of the Coast Guard.  He supported the community and helped keep people safe for over 40 years. In the past I had enjoyed supporting other charitable interests like S.O.M.E., Habitat for Humanity, Christmas in April, Junior Achievement and the Salvation Army.  Rotary represented an opportunity to support several entities via one organization which suited my interests perfectly so I applied for membership.

I am currently the chair for the fundraising committee, so if you have any great fundraising ideas, please contact me!  Come visit us at the 1757 Club on Waxpool Rd. in Ashburn , VA Thursdays at noon for lunch!

Family:

I have lived in the NOVA area all my life.  I attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg , VA and Stonewall Jackson High School in Manassas , VA.  I married a fellow JMU Grad in 2003 and together we have a 6 year old son and a 3 year old daughter.  My wife is from Pittsburgh where the rest of her family resides and we visit often.
