Linda was born in San Diego, CA. Her father, and her husband, served in the Navy for 20+ years. She always says she would have gone to the Naval Academy if it had been open to women when she graduated.  She is the oldest of four, has lived in many countries and places, but considers Northern Virginia her 'heart home' and plans to remain in Virginia. That doesn't preclude frequent trips to Italy, her husband's native country. Linda has 3 step daughters, 1 daughter, 5 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and 1 grand nephew. She is devoted to her family and friends and an active member of Crossroads United Methodist Church in Ashburn, VA. She sings in the choir, participates as a Nurturing Guide by leading memorial receptions, offering prayer at the cross, participates in Circle activities and writes to those in prison as well as a youngster at Humble School in Uganda. She is an active member of the Ashburn Rotary Club, preferring to focus on service projects, especially the Northern Virginia Diaper Bank and other activities which benefit the lives of children. 
Linda began her professional life as an elementary teacher in Winchester, VA. She transitioned into banking for ten years, primarily in the branch system, but putting her teaching experience to good use as she served in coordinating various bank wide activities, including in house training courses, savings and retirement training, training on ATMs and mentoring call efforts of branch managers. In addition to her banking activities, Linda also taught for the American Institute of Banking, American Bankers Association and lectured for NVCC in business courses for 10 years. She started and operated a small company that developed Computer Based training courses for the banking industry, implementing programs across the nation for regional and community banks.  In addition to a 20 year career in Real Estate brokerage and Property Management, Linda has operated a number of other small businesses in the areas of special construction, a medical management company and multiple MRI centers. At present, she operates PDI Testing & Design, Inc. PDI T&D was started in 2001 and its purpose is the bring security solutions to those firms and agencies doing work for the government in areas requiring special security facilities. She is certified in RF and STC Testing as well as installation of Overly doors. She works with A&E firms to ensure accreditation and provides documentation for same.
