Sheila Joy, Director of Advancement at Jill's House was our guest speaker.  Located in Vienna, VA, Jill’s House celebrates children with special needs and provides much-needed relief to their families in the greater Washington DC area.  "We serve boys and girls, ages six through seventeen, with intellectual disabilities. Jill’s House provides a safe, fun place full of adventure and tailor-made activities to children with special needs while giving their parents and caregivers desperately-needed time to rest and recharge."

Sheila Joy added that there are hundreds of families on the Jill's House waiting list.  A night at Jill's House costs about $600/night, but parents pay only $75/night.  The difference is funded through donations.  Community members interested supporting Jill's House can make a donation, volunteer, share their story, or partner with the organization.  If you're interested, get more information at www.jillshouse.org  .

Also at the meeting, Kelly Yost was inducted as the newest member of the Rotary Club of Ashburn! We're excited to have Kelly onboard and look forward to his contributions to our energetic and dynamic club!  Welcome Kelly!
