The Rotary Club of Ashburn is pleased to welcome this week's guest speaker, Bruce McBarnette.  McBarnette, a member of the Tysons Rotary Club,  will join us for an enlightening discussion on memory techniques, including tips and ideas on how we can improve our memory.  
 
 
Bruce McBarnette, from the Tysons Rotary Club, will share a variety of tips and techniques for improving memory.  McBarnette has taught seminars on memory techniques at a number of corporations, government agencies, and colleges including the US Navy, Wheat First Securities, George Washington University, and Northern Virginia Community College.   In addition to teaching memory technique seminars, McBarnette diverse career spanned the military, acting, law, and real estate.  Currently, McBarnette is a realtor with Keller Williams and the president of Summit Connection LLC a real estate investment company.   An attorney, McBarnette served as former legal counsel to the United States Senate, and a former senior counsel for Fannie Mae.  While in the US Army, McBarnette held the rank of captain and served as a Judge Advocate General. 
 
A member of the Screen Actors Guild, McBarnette has performed in several movies and in TV show.
 
McBarnette is best known for setting age group world records in the high jump in masters track and field.  He has won 31 USA National Championships and 12 World Championship for his age group. 
 
McBarnette is a graduate of NYU Law School and Princeton University, where he was class president.
 
McBarnette also helps raise money for charities and has raised over $100,000 for charities he supports.
