Stop Hunger Now is delighted to announce that meals from the October 15th joint meal packaging event have been shipped in a container with 285,120 meals from our National Capital warehouse, in Ashburn, VA. The meals will be received by their in-country partner Reach Now International - Zambia. Ashburn Rotary packaged 10,000 meals along with students from Freedom High School and members of the Gainesville-Haymarket and Leesburg Evening Clubs and members of the soon to be charted South Riding Club.

Stop Hunger Now meals serve needy children in Zambia through Reach Now and Mission Touch Ministries. Missions Touch Ministries (MTM) was formed in 2008 as a non-governmental organization (NGO) and brings in containers of food, medical supplies and other goods to benefit 35+ community schools, orphanages and other feeding programs. Missions Touch and Reach Now support approximately 10,000 children with a hot meal each school day in and around Lusaka, Zambia. Many of the children served are drawn into the schools from the streets because of the provision of food. The enrollment at the schools often doubles when the feeding program is introduced, brightening the future of countless impoverished children. The addition of Stop Hunger Now meals enables Missions Touch and Reach Now to provide for the nutritional needs of the children enrolled in their program.
