Our speaker this week is Dr. Ali Eskandarian of The George Washington University Virginia Science and Technology Campus. Dr. Eskandarian has a distinguished and notable career as a theoretical physicist, within the collegiate system and as an entrepreneur. He is active in the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce, serves on the Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia and works to expand partnerships with Virginia's Community College system.  Before joining GWU, Dr. Eskandarian worked at James Madison University, served with the National Research Council and as advisory to the Army Research Laboratory's Technology Assessment Board and worked on scientific satellites developed at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center for several space missions. Dr. Eskandarian's current research focused on the foundations of quantum theory, quantum computing/information, and astrophysics.
