President's Message
Kenneth Courter
Dear Friends,

As you know, Rotarians have a history of helping others and in fact, our motto is, “service above self”.  This year was no different as we accomplished so much and through our efforts, we met the needs of many.  To name just a few we: rang the Salvation Army bell, cleaned roads, fed the poor, gave blood, funded polio plus, gave diapers to families in need, donated toys to children, conducted car seat safety checks, launched a health fair, and donated coats and computers to children in need.

As we look forward to 2018 our work has already begun to take shape.  We plan to dig wells in Ghana, launch a 5k road race, clean the W&OD trail, collect food to support the Loudoun Hunger Relief, and provide the Interact Club with scholarships.  I’m sure there is more need that requires our help and perhaps that need is in our own communities.  Identifying where our efforts can best be used is the responsibility of all of us and therefore, I look forward to hearing your suggestions.

I want to thank you for your enthusiasm this past year and I feel honored to know you.  The Holidays are upon us and knowing we helped others is perhaps the greatest gift of all.

Happy Holidays,
Ken, President, Rotary Club of Ashburn, VA

PINTS AND PRESENT WRAPPING CONTINUES
The Four-Way Test

The Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages, and Rotarians recite it at club meetings:

Of the things we think, say or do

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

District 7610 and Rotary International News and Events Will Continue in 2018.  Happiest of Holidays to you and yours!
